BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

To secure your booking at Loskin Wood Experience, full payment is required at the time of booking. We will confirm your reservation in writing once payment and the completed booking form have been received.

All prices and payment details will be clearly communicated during the booking process. If you have any questions about what’s included or the payment methods available, please reach out, we’re happy to help!

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that plans can change, so here’s how cancellations work at Loskin Wood Experience:

• If you cancel 90 or more days before your scheduled arrival, you’ll receive a full refund.

• Cancellations made between 90 and 30 days before arrival are eligible for a 50% refund.*

• If you cancel less than 30 days before arrival, the booking is non-refundable.**

*In these cases, we’ll do our best to re-let your dates. If we manage to find another guest, we’ll provide a full refund.

**For cancellations fewer than 30 days before arrival, if we re-let your dates successfully, we’ll offer a 50% refund or the option to rebook on a different date.

If you wish to amend your booking (such as changing dates or guest names), please contact us as soon as possible. Amendments are subject to availability and our discretion, but we’ll always try to accommodate you.

In rare events where Loskin Wood Experience needs to cancel or amend your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you straight away and offer alternative dates or a full refund.

CHANGING BOOKING DATES

We understand that sometimes plans need to shift. Here’s the policy for changing your booking dates at Loskin Wood Experience:

• 90 or more days before arrival: You may change your booking dates. If the new dates have a higher price than your original booking, you’ll only need to pay the difference.

• Between 90 and 30 days before arrival: You can use 75% of the original booking cost as credit toward a new stay. If we successfully rebook your original dates with another guest, we’ll refund the remaining 25%.

• Less than 30 days before arrival: Unfortunately, we cannot offer to rebook your stay at this stage. Please see our cancellation policy for options.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change your booking dates. All date changes are subject to availability and our discretion.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

• Check-In: from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM

• Check-Out: by 10:00 AM

Early check-in or late check-out requests must be made in advance, are subject to availability, and may incur an additional fee.

GUEST CONDUCT & PROPERTY RULES

Please:

• Treat cabins, surroundings, and neighbours with respect.

• Bring only the booked number of guests, no extra visitors.

• Report any damage

• Keep noise down and behaviour friendly. Disruptive or illegal activity may lead to early termination without refund.

• Recycle and dispose of rubbish thoughtfully.

• Follow instructions provided in the cabin.

SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cabins to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

PETS

We welcome well-behaved dogs in select cabins, subject to prior approval and an additional cleaning fee.

• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while in Loskin Wood to protect wildlife and guests.

• Dogs should behave considerately and not disturb others.

• Owners agree to be responsible for any damage or disturbance caused.

• Other pets (not dogs) require prior written agreement. Please contact us before booking to confirm.

EXPERIENCES

Our guided tours and activities include woodland management, tree planting, woodworking, bushcraft, and more:

• Led by experienced guides, subject to availability and weather. Changes or cancellations may occur for safety or operational reasons; we will offer alternatives if possible.

• Participation is at your own risk, acknowledging inherent outdoor activity risks.

• Follow all guide instructions; unsafe or disruptive behaviour may lead to exclusion without refund.

• Wear suitable clothing and footwear.

• Some activities may not be suitable for those with limited mobility; please check in advance.

• We accept no liability for injury due to failure to follow instructions or pre-existing conditions.

• Equipment must be used responsibly and returned in good condition; charges apply for damage.

• Inform us of medical conditions or allergies prior to participation.

• By participating, you agree to these terms and will follow all safety guidance.

WILD DINING

The Wild Dining experience features seasonal menus crafted from locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

• Please advise of allergies or dietary needs before arrival.

• Wild Dining is weather-dependent; we will inform you of changes and offer alternatives where possible.

LIABILITY

• Guests are responsible for belongings; we accept no liability for loss or damage.

• We are not liable for injury or illness unless due to our negligence.

• We are not responsible for disruptions beyond our control, including weather or natural disasters.

• Guests are responsible for damages caused by themselves, their guests, or pets.

• By booking, you agree to follow property rules and these liability terms.

GIFT VOUCHERS

•  Gift vouchers can be redeemed against any available stay and follow the usual booking terms.

• Vouchers are valid for a set period from issue (marked on the voucher), non-refundable, and should be kept safe.

• Vouchers may not be used for the marketing of other businesses

• Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash

ACCESSIBILITY

• Woodland terrain includes uneven ground and steps; some areas may not be suitable for all mobility levels.

• Contact us with accessibility queries before booking.

ACTIVITIES, EQUIPMENT & HAZARDS

• Natural hazards such as uneven ground and slippery surfaces may be present. Wear suitable footwear and follow safety instructions.

• Activities and equipment use are at your own risk. We accept no liability for accidents from unsafe use or ignoring guidance.

OFFERS & PROMOTIONS

• Special offers or packages may be available occasionally and are subject to terms, availability, and withdrawal.

• Only one offer can be used per stay unless otherwise stated.

• Offers are non-retrospective.

THIRD-PARTY EXPERIENCES

• We may recommend or help book activities through trusted local partners who operate independently.

• We are not responsible for the quality or availability of third-party services.

• Please review partners’ terms and contact us for recommendations.

PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

• We respect your privacy. Personal data is used solely to process bookings and deliver services, managed securely as outlined in our Privacy Policy (available on request).

FORCE MAJEURE

• We cannot be held liable for failures caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, or government actions.

• We will do our best to update you and arrange alternatives or refunds.

COMPLAINTS

• We want your stay to be enjoyable. Please notify us promptly of any issues so we can resolve them quickly and fairly.

GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by Scottish law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Scottish courts.

• Please contact us first for amicable resolution of concerns.

WEBSITE USAGE

• All website content is owned or used with permission by Diverse Forests Cabins Limited (trading as Loskin Wood Experience) and may not be copied or reused without consent.

• Personal information submitted is handled as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
